Stage 01 of 07
Stage 01 · Isaiah 61:1 · Weeks 1–8
Resolution
Wounds are addressed. Captivity is confronted. Darkness is broken.
“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners.”
Why Resolution Matters
Resolution is the first movement of Isaiah 61:1 — the moment Jesus steps into the broken places of a person's life and begins binding what has been torn and releasing what has been held captive. It is where He confronts the inner fractures that have shaped a person's story and begins untangling the lies, patterns, and fears that kept the heart bound. Resolution matters because without it, the disciple cannot move into Identity, Inheritance, or Calling with stability. It is the beginning of freedom.
As a Mature Disciple
A mature disciple in Resolution carries emotional clarity, honesty, and groundedness. They have learned to face truth without collapsing under it, and they have allowed Jesus to bind the places that once felt too fragile to touch. Their inner world is becoming whole, steady, and open to transformation.
Discipling Others
A mature disciple becomes a safe place for others beginning their own Resolution journey. They offer presence, patience, and compassion. They help others name their wounds, face their truth, and encounter Jesus' binding and freeing work. Their steadiness becomes a refuge for those confronting broken places in their own lives.
Reflect
- 01Where is Jesus binding up something broken in you?
- 02What truth is He inviting you to face with courage and gentleness?
- 03Who might need your presence as they begin resolving their own wounds?
